– Exploring the concept of input and output devices.
– Identifying and understanding the role of common input and output devices.

Theme 3: Mouse
– Mouse as an Input Device: Introducing the mouse as a fundamental input device.
– Handling a Mouse: Developing mouse handling skills, including clicking and moving the cursor.

Theme 4: Keyboard
– Special Keys: Learning about special keys on the keyboard and their functions.
– More about Keyboard: Expanding knowledge of the keyboard layout and its uses.

Theme 5: Uses of a Computer
– How a computer works: Explaining the basic operation of a computer and how it processes information.
– Uses of computers in our daily life: Discovering the various everyday applications of computers.

Theme 6: Knowing Windows
– Introduction to the Windows operating system, including basic navigation and file management.

Theme 7: MS Paint
– Hands-on experience with the MS Paint application, allowing students to create simple digital art and graphics.

Theme 8: Wordpad
– Exploring Wordpad, a basic text editing program, and learning how to create and edit documents.

Theme 9: Networking and Internet

This course is designed to develop students’ computer literacy, keyboarding skills and to meet the needs of students in the associate degree programs and technical certificate programs. The student will learn from hands-on experiences basic skills in file management utilities, word processing, spreadsheets, and graphical presentations in the Windows environment.
